Coordinating Europe's response to crypto-enabled financial crime.
EuroAntiFraud (EAF) is dedicated to detecting, investigating and disrupting financial crime that exploits digital assets. We support national law-enforcement and judicial authorities across the European Union, with a particular focus on crypto money laundering, fraudulent investment platforms and the growing wave of "recovery" scams that target previous fraud victims.
Since 2021, crypto-enabled fraud has industrialised. Organised networks now run professional call centres, clone legitimate trading platforms, and exploit romance and social-engineering tactics to manipulate victims over weeks or months. Once funds are stolen, victims are frequently targeted a second time by fake "recovery agents" who impersonate authorities or law firms.
